01 Aug Monument and Wayfinding Signs for Manufacturing Plants in Mebane NC
There are numerous reasons to install markers along the street in front of your facility. For example, visitors need to know where to turn to access your parking areas. And, when giving directions, they serve as great landmarks. Monument signs are indispensable when it comes to showing consumers where to find you. WestRock realized this, so they contacted Gate City Signs & Graphics for monument and wayfinding signs for manufacturing plants in Mebane, NC.
What Is WestRock?
Based in Richmond, Virginia, WestRock is an American corrugated packaging company with over 250 research labs, manufacturing facilities, sales offices, and design centers all around the world. The organization was formed last year when RockTenn and MeadWestvaco merged. They have expertise in every shopping category and industry with an extensive portfolio of packaging and paper products. They have a long history of leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship, including cutting-edge developments in packaging design, retail solutions, and papermaking.
When an organization with such a worldwide reach came to us for monument and wayfinding signs for manufacturing plants in Mebane, NC, we were honored to help. Their Mebane location on Oakwood Street Extension was part of MeadWestvaco before the merger. They wanted to update the signage with the new WestRock branding. We had just the solution.
What We Did for WestRock
Based on WestRock’s vision and goals for the project, which we learned about during an initial consultation, we came up with a number of designs for their monument and wayfinding markers. Once they approved of the art proofs we provided them with, we got down to work.
Both signs are made of high-density urethane with digitally-printed vinyl applied to their faces. By using our state of the art large format digital printer, we were able to perfectly replicate WestRock’s new branding. Both markers featured metal poles, which were inserted into the ground and held in place with concrete to ensure the markers will help people find the client’s location for many years to come. In the end, they were completely satisfied with the work we did.
