19 Jul Channel Letters in Greensboro Brand-Building for WOW Brows!
If your enterprise is open at night, you need to make it easy for your clients to find you. You can try shooting flares featuring your company’s colors into the air once the sun goes down. But, this only works if people are very familiar with your branding, and the local authorities may not care for you doing this. WOW Brows wanted to be visible at night (and keep local authorities happy), so they contacted Gate City Signs & Graphics for exterior signs for spas and salons in Greensboro, NC.
What Is WOW Brows?
With half a dozen locations in North Carolina and Virginia, WOW Brows has taken the art of threading to the next level. The company was founded by Lucy Kaufeld who developed a new technique for eyebrow threading that lasts longer than waxing, is great for people with sensitive skin, recommended by dermatologists, more precise for shaping, leads to finer regrowth with regular treatments, and is safer than chemicals or waxing. Other services they offer include lash and brow tinting, waxing, massage, facials, lashes, and signature products.
When an organization that does so much to keep local residents looking their best came to us for channel letters for salons and spas in Greensboro, NC, we were more than willing to help out. WOW Brows wanted a way to make their Greensboro location on West Wendover Avenue stand out. We knew just what to do.
What We Did for WOW Brows
During an initial consultation, we listened carefully to what WOW Brows had in mind for their project. They are located in an open-air shopping mall, and they wanted consumers to be able to find them during the day and night. They also wanted traffic along nearby I-40 to be exposed to their branding. We recommended channel letter signs for the front and back of their storefront. They thought that sounded fantastic, and once they approved the mockups we provided them with, we got down to work.
Our first step was to create aluminum “can” frames that matched the font WOW Brows used on their other marketing materials. We then added acrylic faces with red translucent vinyl to the frame to create the letters. The letters feature LED lighting which illuminates the signs. For both the front and back signs, we mounted the channel letters to raceways. The wiring is located within these raceways. For the “Threading & Beauty” lettering near the entrance to the store, we simply used flat-cut acrylic.
We worked with the client’s schedule to install the markers at a time that was convenient for them. With the raceways, we only had to do minimum drilling into the walls of their building. This was pleasing to the property management company WOW Brows is leasing from. In the end, the client was completely satisfied with the work we did.
